A certified pre-owned e-bike gives you the brands, motors and build quality you want for a smaller investment than new. What makes a bike certified?

Bought and maintained at Scooteretti
For your safety, every bike must have been purchased from Scooteretti and serviced by our technicians, so its full history is known.
Battery health of 80% or better
If it tests lower, we install a brand-new battery.
Inspection
It passes a full specialist inspection
Frame, wheels, drivetrain, brakes and lights are all checked. Every bike also gets a full Bosch software update, a system diagnostic and a complete tune-up.
Road test
Tested on the road
A technician test-rides every bike, checking shifting, braking, motor assistance, steering and ride quality, and listening for noise or vibration. If it doesn't ride right, it doesn't get certified.

Bosch diagnostic report
Every certified bike comes with a copy of its Bosch system diagnostic report, so you can see exactly how the motor, battery and electronics tested.

Upgrade to 12 months with parts and labour on the full Bosch electronics system: battery, charger, display, motor, sensors and cables. Add it on any certified bike's product page.
Not covered: wear and tear components (such as brake pads, chains, cassettes, chainrings and tires), paint and cosmetic finishes, grips, saddles, flat tires and any non-Bosch parts. The 12-month extended warranty covers the Bosch electronics system only.

What is a Scooteretti Certified pre-owned e-bike?
It's a used e-bike that was bought new from Scooteretti, maintained by our technicians, and has met our eligibility rules, passed a full inspection, been road-tested and been tuned up before sale. It comes with a Bosch diagnostic report and a 3-month warranty.
Which bikes qualify for certification?
For safety, a bike must have been purchased from Scooteretti and maintained by our service team. It must also be within 3 model years, have under 5,000 km and have a battery that tests at 80% health or better, or we replace it with a new one.
What does the inspection cover?
Our technicians check the frame, fork, wheels, tires, drivetrain, brakes, lights and contact points, then run a complete Bosch software update and system diagnostic. Every bike gets a full tune-up and a technician test ride.
What warranty comes with a certified pre-owned e-bike?
Every certified bike includes a 3-month Scooteretti warranty. You can extend it to 12 months for $399, with parts and labour on the full Bosch electronics system: battery, charger, display, motor, sensors and cables. Wear and tear items, paint, grips, flat tires and non-Bosch parts are not covered.
How healthy is the battery on a certified bike?
Every battery must test at 80% health or better. If it doesn't, we install a brand-new battery before the bike is certified.
Is a certified pre-owned e-bike worth it compared to new?
For many riders, yes. You get the same motor, components and frame as a new bike for a smaller investment, with specialist inspection, a diagnostic report and warranty coverage that private sales don't offer.
Can I finance a certified pre-owned e-bike?
Yes. Financing is available on certified bikes, and you can apply online.
Do you ship certified pre-owned e-bikes across Canada?
Yes. You can pick up your bike at our Experience Centre in Ottawa or have it shipped anywhere in Canada.
Can I trade in my e-bike?
Yes. Scooteretti customers can use our Trade-Up Program to put their current e-bike toward a new or certified pre-owned bike. Contact us with your bike's make, model, year and condition to get started.
