The Granville E-Terra 20 Wave is built for riders who want a daily bike that removes the friction from commuting, errands, and mixed-terrain rides around town, not one more thing to wrestle with every morning. At the center of it is the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, delivering 85Nm of torque through the Bosch Smart System, so Ottawa's bridges and Gatineau's rolling hills stop being a reason to leave the bike at home. Pair that with a 600Wh Bosch PowerTube battery hidden cleanly in the downtube and you have a bike that handles a full week of commuting on a single charge for most riders, with the option to add Bosch's PowerMore 250Wh range extender for longer rides or bigger loops.
The low-step Wave frame is the real story here. Instead of forcing every rider into the same tall top tube, Granville dropped the step-over height so getting on and off the bike is easy whether you are stopping at a red light, loading groceries, or dealing with a knee that does not love swinging over a crossbar anymore. It is not a compromise frame either: the geometry keeps the same 73-degree seat angle and 68-degree head angle as Granville's standard-frame E-Terra, so the ride stays stable and confident at commuter speed and on gravel paths.
Everything a new e-bike owner usually has to buy separately comes standard. Integrated Curana fenders keep road spray off your back, a Massload rear rack (MIK-compatible, so it takes a wide range of pannier and basket systems without an adapter) is ready for cargo the day it arrives, and Herrmans and Supernova lights front and rear mean you are visible on the shorter days without bolting anything on. An AXA Imenso frame lock, keyed to the same key as the Bosch battery, adds a real layer of theft deterrence for a bike that is going to spend time locked up outside a café or office.
For anyone weighing this against a cheaper, unbranded e-bike, the difference shows up in the parts you cannot see in a photo: a Bosch Smart System that Shimano-grade shops across Canada already know how to service, hydraulic disc brakes (Shimano MT-200) that stop consistently in the wet, and a Purion 200 display that keeps ride data simple instead of overwhelming.
